Admin Prof Day
Administrative Professionals Week at Ah Sam
Widely observed in many workplaces both in the United States and globally, Administrative Professionals Day is intended to show appreciation for these valuable employees. Although not an official holiday, many celebrate the day to shine a light on the much-needed skills and contributions of their favorite support staff. Ah Sam Flowers both recognizes this day and encourages you to show your administrative personnel that they are valued for their everyday efforts. During World War II, skilled administrative personnel were in demand, especially here in the US. The National Secretaries Association was created to acknowledge the contributions of secretaries and other administrative staff to the national economy, to encourage their personal development within their chosen career, and to draw more people into the field. The association’s name was changed to Professional Secretaries International in 1981 and, ultimately was renamed the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) in 1998.
These changes in name are a reflection of the evolving nature of the job requirements and qualifications of the organization’s members. IAAP now focuses on international membership and issues and continues in its mission to provide ongoing education; as well as to establish standards of excellence accepted by the global business community. The organization’s vision states “to inspire and equip all administrative professionals to attain excellence.” What better way to motivate your employees to excellence, than to let them know how much you appreciate them? Ah Sam Flowers has an extensive selection of office-appropriate plants and flowers that will both make your most valued employees feel special and beautify the office. From orchids to money trees – shown here – the experts at Ah Sam have the ideas you need to celebrate this office holiday in style.
